Stop Waiting Until You Feel Ready
THE MIDWEEK NOTE
I used to think confidence came first.
That one day I’d wake up feeling ready.
Ready to start the business.
Ready to leave the relationship.
Ready to post the video.
Ready to ask for more.
Ready to become her.
It never happened.
What actually happened was this:
I got tired of waiting.
One day I realized that confidence isn’t something you find.
It’s something you earn.
Every scary conversation.
Every risk.
Every uncomfortable decision.
Every time you choose yourself...
You collect a little more proof that you’re capable.
That’s where confidence comes from.
Not from thinking.
From doing.
I still get nervous before big meetings.
I still overthink things sometimes.
I still question myself.
The difference now is I don’t let those feelings make my decisions for me.
I’ve learned that fear can sit in the passenger seat, but it doesn’t get to drive.
One thing I’ve noticed is that so many women are waiting for permission.
Permission to leave.
Permission to dream bigger.
Permission to travel.
Permission to charge more.
Permission to wear the outfit.
Permission to take up space.
Here’s your reminder:
No one is coming to hand you permission.
You have to give it to yourself.
The life you’re praying for is waiting on the version of you who’s willing to move before she feels completely ready.
That version of you already exists.
She just needs you to trust her.
So today...
Send the email.
Start the business.
Book the flight.
Apply for the job.
Say no.
Say yes.
Whatever you’ve been putting off because you don’t feel “ready”...
Do one thing today that your future self will thank you for.
She’ll meet you halfway.
With love,
AuJené
