This is more than just a Book Club, it’s a positive vibrational community that I wanted to develop. I firmly believe that knowledge is power and if we want change in this world we have to start with ourselves. You decided to join this book club for a reason whether that is to make new friends, mentally level up or just because you simply like to read,  whatever your reason is I am so proud of you for taking this step. I want to personally thank you so much for signing up to my book club and having me apart of your journey, I am grateful  to have you apart of mine.

• Week 1: December 4th, 2022  @ 5pm-6pm PST

• Week 2: December 11th, 2022 @ 5pm-6pm PST

• Week 3: December 18th, 2022 @ 5pm-6pm PST

• Week 4: December 30th, 2022 @ 5pm-6pm PST

• Week 1- Preface, Part 1 & Part II: Chapters 1- 4 (Pages:  xv - 114)

• Week 2- Part III: Ch. 5-8 (Pages: 117 - 209)

• Week 3- Part III: Ch. 9-13 (Pages: 209 - 314)

• Week 4- Part III: Ch. 13-Afterword (Pages: 315 - 431)

*Please Note:

 Prior to the first meeting, please have read: Preface, Part 1: The Ancient Ways and Part II: Womb Wisdom. Also zoom links will be sent out within 24 hrs to meeting.

I estimate our meetings will be between 60-90mins.

The Vibe

Come as you are, this is a safe space, no negativity will be tolerated, I will kick you out. You have a voice, use it! I want to hear it. I encourage everyone to speak and share their thoughts or opinions however please be respectful if someone else is speaking. Let’s pour a glass of wine or some coconut water, throw our hair up into a bonnet or bun, relax and dive into a high vibrational conversation.

Stay Connected

I strongly encourage everyone to utilize the community chat on IG to hold yourself accountable or if you just need some words of encouragement along the way. Some weeks you may find it easy to read through the sections other weeks may be a bit more tedious. Whatever your position is just know you have a community willing to support you and your journey.  The chat will be made available after the first meeting.

Suggestions

• Come up with a schedule for how much you want to read each day and hold yourself to it.

• As you read, feel free to share inspiring quotes within the chat during the week or some points in the book that stood out to you.

• Book club will run between 60-90 minutes so you may want to have some snacks on hand.

• As we get to the end go the book, I always recommend people to read a books notes and acknowledgments.

  AJ’s Book Club Etiquette:

• If you would like to speak please put a click raise hand via zoom, so there are no interruptions.

• Please RSVP via substack

• No Soliciting

• Please arrive on time, Book Club will always start promptly at 5pm PST, if anything changes you will be notified.

• If you are entering late have your device on mute.

• READ THE BOOK! If you haven’t finished the book but decide to attend book club, be prepared to hear spoilers. Life happens, I understand sometimes we don’t get to do as much reading in as we’d like and it’s totally okay.

• COME PREPARED. Spend some time before the meeting thinking about the book. Bonus for bringing discussion questions

• SPEAK UP. Contribute to the discussion! Book clubs work best when everyone participates

• LISTEN TO OTHERS. Your fellow book club members want to hear your opinion — but they also want to hear everyone else’s. Don’t interrupt or overly dominate the discussion.

• BE HONEST.  Most of us join book club because we want a richer reading experience through discussion.  That can only happen when we share what we really thought or felt about the book or section. It’s completely fine to dislike a book that someone else loves. We’re all entitled to our opinions. But BE RESPECTFUL. You can disagree with someone, but always do so respectfully. Keep an open mind.

• HAVE FUN!  Why are we book clubbing if we’re not having fun?  Don’t worry so much about the book club rules and expectations that you’re not enjoying our book club! I want you to leave a level higher than when you came in.
